If it's "OE", it will have a Mercedes star and part number. If it's OEM, it will be from the original manufacturer, without a Mecedes star and part number, which I believe is Behr not OEA.

I can't help you on compatibility with your .961, my .970 had a plastic fan.

Please describe filling procedure

You can refill the old clutches, btw, if you really want to save some $$. I fixed two of 'em that way, but the process takes hours.

Can you describe the filling procedure please, it`s nice to have a new one of course, but money is tight now a days, if you can spare $100.00 that`s always a welcome present.

if you cant find a 606 fan clutch, i can get you new ACM from worldpac for $115 incl ship. thats what i put on my 87 300D, it is working fine.

The issue I had earlier was not installing proper shim under the tensioner, so belt was riding off tensioner pulley 1/16". Very bad, it shreded new belt in 2k miles and also took out upper rad hose and AC wiring, and vac lines for EGR.

anyways, if you want a worldpac ACM brand fan clutch for $115 PM me. it works fine with metal fan.

Hi there guys, i`m relaying on your expertise to resolve a puzzle with my car, after replacing few vacuum hoses and getting some vacuum leakings in the engine area the car begon to smoke a lot (black, really dark black like a russian tank) when trapping on gas pedal, take a eternity to get on revs even with gas pedal fully pressed and just after 2500 rpm begin to accelerate like before but not before covering the whole street in a black cloud and using a fuel tank in about 200 miles, it even continuos smoking after the 2500 rpm, i can clearly see it from the mirrors, any ideas what can be happenning? thanks for any help.
