4spd with 2.47 for about a year, have never regretted it. alas, I will have to resign my membership in the 300 4spd club as soon as I locate a 5spd shifter

This is an actual group you can officially join by going here: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/groups/w123-300d-cd-td-turbo-diesel-manual-transmission-club.html
We can have an actual roster of owners.
This group is open to 4 speeds and 5 speeds.

Is the 'Turbo' mentioned in the thread title mandatory or optional (I noticed how quickly the 123 240D crowd got booted)
I have an '84 300TD 5-speed, non-turbo. Am I still eligible?

Happy Motoring, Mark

My 300D has the transmission out of a 240D as well. According to EPC its the same transmission that was also in the 300D NA. StaggerLee you may join.

Let's take a vote. Should we include 300 NA's in the group?

Any 300D NA stick is a good car in my book. I still miss mine. 110mph, no turbo lag, body shot.
