99 E300td - Brakes
I can do brakes in under 10 min per wheel on just about any car, but this is my first go on this Mercedes of mine, so wanted to ask some questions so as not to make more work for my self.
What is the easiest way to get the pad sensor off the interior pad? Looks like it should pull off, but don't want to break it. Any tricks? Is the best way to just take off the two 19mm bolts that hold caliper on, or is it best to take off the two allen bolts that are on the caliper? Any other info would be nice, thanks in advance for the help. |

Speed,
The sensor is just snapped into the brake pad. If it's not damaged, you can pry it out with a small screwdriver. The sensors are really cheap, like less than $2 so don't sweat it too much. I have a .pdf file on brake replacement (written by someone else) if you PM me an address, I'll forward it to you.
