DENVER DIESELERS ALERT--- SAVE THIS W116
Howdie folks,
Been awhile since I've been on here, but I was out at the junkyards yesterday and this guy has a W116 with cherry interior he wants to get to a Merc lover. The body isn't great but perfect for a daily driver, the front of the hood is bent a bit, but the engine is a good running 617. He sold the turbo so you will need that, but everything else is there. The best part? He wants to dump the whole thing for $250. Call 303-296-2211. The name of the place is Adopt - A - Part. If one of you gets it let me know... I'm considering picking it up myself if I can get my cummins project done in the next few days...

Very tempting....but I have other plans for my cash.

Dammit. As much as I could really use it for the engine, I just can't spare the cash. It would take another $250 in supplies to swap and I can't let the car sit around for 2 months unregistered (I'm pushing my luck with that as-is with the 300D). That $250 needs to be put towards insurance, registration and smog testing the 300D to get it legal so I don't have to worry about it getting towed from the shop yard for not having any plates.
Just too many plans and not enough cash to go around.  I have to get the 300D ready to race at Diesels On The Mountain in August too.   I'll let Tom Judd know about it, he always has an interest in these sorts of deals. Last edited by ForcedInduction; 05-14-2009 at 06:43 AM.

Yeah I hear you - I'm already 300 over budget on this cummins project and have 600 to go. I'd love to pick that thing up and just use it for road trips ect, but there are a few too many cars in the driveway as it is.

If I had a place to keep it, I'd probably get it for parts. If no one buys it, is it going to be parted out?

I'm sure he would be happy to sell you parts off the car. I was just throwing it out there as I thought it was a hell of a deal. He said no one has requested parts on the thing at all and was considering crushing it!!!
