clunking sound when turning left

yes I have a 1982 mecedes, I replaced both rear axle shafts last fall, it needed them bad, sounded like the rear end would come off, now I have noticed that I have another clunking sound only this one is only when I turn left, it sounds like its coming from the middle or back of the car, I have tried to shake the drive shaft and it doesn't seem to have any play, is it the rear axle bearing on the driver side? How do I know for sure?

I agree, One of these guys are probably your problem. I have a clunking in my 300SD as well, they look pretty easy to replace and cheap to buy.
