2009 Bugtussle Trek in NE Texas

This is open to ALL MB's 25 years old or older. It is put on by the AACA Texas division. It will be on August 29-30 this year. It will be the 41st running. The cars just have to be currently tagged, inspected, and of course drivable. We meet in McKinney, TX. Make our way to Paris, TX, stopping in small towns for treats and eats. Spend the night in Paris, then finish up Sunday afternoon in Greenville, TX.

There is a $25 registration fee for non AACA TX members. Caveat is this, to join the Texas Region, you have to also join the national club. $35 anual dues for national, and $15 for Texas.

Please PM me by May 29 if you are interested in making the run this year. I need name and address so that the co-ordinator of this trip can send out the needed forms for you guys and gals to fill out.

I got chastised last year for not posting this.

Moderators, if this is in the wrong section, please move it.

It is a lot of fun, and you get to see all sorts of old cars. Last year a 1920 Packard led the way.

Thanks!

Bugtussle is north east of McKinney, Tx. Where is that State Park?

What if I just happen to be driving that same route that day... do I still have to pay the $25? :D Sounds like fun.

I've been tossing around the idea of hosting another NTX gtg at the ranch.
Just a little too busy lately.

I have no idea about that one. There are some that do that, they drop out around Honey Grove. There is also a dinner/awards thing that non registerd folks would not be able to attend.

Jimmy was the one who said no invites were given. Invites are now given, but no PM's yet ... c'mom Jimmy! China needs to make this run! :D

rrgrassi 05-15-2009 09:36 AM

Bump!

I also got to meet Larry Bible on last years run...

I can't believe Ralphie hit me with the "rolleyes" smiley!! :D

My new job will require me to work all day that Saturday. Month end requirements. Bummer. China would have been up to the run, although the AC isn't exactly late-August worthy.
That's OK, I just wanted to be invited........:P
Man, that's certainly tough weather for a run of old cars!!

rrgrassi 06-08-2009 12:37 PM

Yeah, for LAbor Day weekend too....

Anyway, I have PDF versions onf the paperwork now if anybody wants them. Just PM me!

I finally got Jimmy back with the roll eyes!!! YEAH!!!!

Ok, the Bug Tussle is this weekend. If anyone wantto go to McKinney, TX for the send off, get there about 8 am so that you can see the old cars. My MB with bad paint is one of them!

Or go to the Sports Complex in Geenville, TX on Sunday and arrive at 10-10:30 am to see the old cars.

I was fully expecting to be in Honey Grove at lunchtime, but I will most likely not make it. We just moved my Dad to a different Nursing Home and my Mom's sister died last night. The families plans are now pretty helter skelter. It's possible that I might make it, but I wouldn't bet any money on it.

Well, family comes first! I was looking foward to seeing you again! Maybe next year, Larry.

For everyone, Larry is on heck of a guy. I speak from personal experience!
