Quite Impressive W140 S350

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200342035331

Unbelievable condition for the mileage, and its only now starting to use oil. Just shows was fastidious care can do with even the least durable of Mercedes Diesels.

Not worth the starting price if it's starting to burn oil.

Wow.....that car is in INCREDIBLE condition for that many miles. Unbelievable!

Sure it will probably need a new motor soon, but who cares? That car is way worthy of a new motor!

Wow. I can't there's no chips on the front of the car. It must have been repainted.

EDIT: Ahh, the bumper was. But still, that's a really nice starting point!

What's that yellow coating on the camshaft cover? I see that on a lot of diesels.

Isn't this one of our forum member's cars?
I recognize the car and the house I think from his pictures.

Not bad at all (The rear seat leather looks a bit worn though....)

Would I be right in saying that W140's with Euro lights are even rarer then W126's with Euros?

Agreed - He should have elaborated on the usage. A quart in between changes or a quart every fill up.

The car is a beauty.

Don't judge a book by its cover. The engine is on its way out.

Perhaps, because US spec W140s have almost euro lights anyway... as I recall they were the first car in the US to use an H4 powered headlamp.

The yellow coating on the valve cover is the factory cosmoline anti corrosion coating.

There's a thread going on the for sale forum since he finally posted here.

His opening bid price with a reserve will scare anyone away, that's for sure.
