Need a Shift rod diagram for w123 Getrag 5 speed
Hello, I pulled a getrag 5 speed out of an 84' euro 240D and am installing it in a 300D. However I didn't mark which rods go where (there are 3 rods). Does anyone have a diagram?

lucky dog.... heres a pic I have showing them on the shifter, likely you will need to shorten them about 4" because of the extra length of the 300 motor. also, the 300 auto crossmember is the same as the 300 5spd and should bolt right up

Are you showing off by asking this question?

Thanks for the pic of the shifter w. shift rods attached
Wasn't my intention to brag, here is the link to the main thread on the vintage forum about the project - Getrag and 300D into a w115. The project has taken a while longer than anticipated - the installing the shift linkage and getting my timing chain adaquately tensioned are the two things I still have to do before the thing is drivable: 5 spd conversion begun for 1975 w115 300D |
