The only thing that I can think of is the possibility of a wasted trailing arm bushing.
http://catalog.peachparts.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=1984-Mercedes--Benz-300sd-Suspension&yearid=1984%40%401984&makeid=63%40%40MERCEDES+BENZ%40%40X&modelid=6208%3AMBC%7C1510%3AED%7C10000134%40%40300SD&catid=241464%40%40Suspension&subcatid=241484@@Trailing+Arm+Bushing&mode=PA It's sometimes a little difficult to see if the bushing is bad without removing the bolt and lowering, but with noticable lean I would think it would be blatant.

Probably worse. Probably a rusted and failing trailing arm. Not too hard to change though and lots of good ones still available from the salvage yard.
Last one I had to change cost about three hundred installed by my indie.

X2 for rust.
they are the same for 123, 126.( and the 116 looks similar- anyone know???) there are aluminum ones available,(126 part number) too- but you'd want to change both. |
