I need the lower hood latch for my '87 300sdl driver side lower. I am having a hard time finding one on the web does anyone have one they would be willing to part with.

Yes "hood latch" this may not be the tech term for the part but it is the part that the pin on the hood goes into which the hood release cable controls from in the car. Mine will not latch the hood closed.
