A/C Compressor Electrical Plug - Part #?
Anyone know the part # for the small black plastic clip / plug that holds the electrical connection onto the A/C compressor on a W123? I've tried everything short of soldering the leads onto the compressor and it just won't stay on.

I've made the mistake of getting those leads reversed, and it melted the wire all the way up to the firewall!!

Maybe you could put a slight bend in the prongs on the compresser. The narrow way, but not this sharp of angle ^. Just enough to take up more space inside plug.
My plug is loose too, AC didn't work last week. Lucky it's holding for now. Hard to reach. I'm going to try this myself when I can get car up on a lift. --------------------- 1984 MB 300SD Turbo |

You should be able to pick one up at any AP store. It's the same plug used on GM cars with R4 or A6 compressors. You could also snip one from any GM car in the junk yard that uses these compressors. Like Jimmy said be careful about the polarity. There's a diode across the connectors that is there to dissipate voltage spikes when the coil voltage collapses as it's turned off.
