Diesel is also toxic . . . so is parts cleaner . . . used properly, it does its intended job, just be aware that misuse can be unpleasant

I was once told that selling Simple Green was outlawed in several states because of its chemical makeup. I find it cleans quite well, but I wouldn't use it without gloves on.

Never ever use it on magnesuim, the magnesuim loses every time. It also works well as a paint stripper on low grade/old paint jobs, sometimes to the aircraft owner's dismay!! VBest advice, work up to full strength, it'll keep you out of trouble. The Castrol purple stuff is way better as long as you don't use it on magnesuim.

Ahhh, did you read post #3. The stuff is toxic. Contains Butoxyethanol which the skin can absorb even through vapors. Not good for hand cleaner.

Company's statement.

MSDS

Pics are the label, itself.

Seems to me that if the "NON-TOXIC" label is not true, more than one law would be violated. It today's political atmosphere, we should know about that in spades - uh, no pun intended.

It was way better, perhaps. Castrol Super Cleaner was discontinued due to its hazardous characteristics. It was toxic.

If you were smoking your cigarette properly, you wouldn't have gotten any paint chips in your mouth.

Exclamation

We make and sell liquid glycerin soap, recycled by-product of making biodiesel. Beats anything else I've used hands down.

Ingredients are vegetable oil glycerin, water and KOH. No added chemicals.

We mix it 50/50 with water and use it in the shop in a spray bottle. We also use it around the house for anything from general cleaning to laundry and yes I use it as shampoo!

If you work at a place with MSDSs around, look up water, you'll find it is toxic if used improperly.

Simple Green works well if used properly.
