I've found using Lubro Moly Engine Flush to be effective.

At what, destroying bearings? If that stuff is strong enough to strip sludge out of the engine, imagine what its doing to the bearings and cylinder walls.
Nothing should ever be put into the crankcase except clean oil. If you want to "flush" your engine, using synthetic oil is the best way.

The engine is still running strong, no issues. I didn't dyno it before, or after and I can't tell any difference in performance, fuel economy or vibration. Oh, and I still have the switch over valve disconnected.
I'll let you know when the world ends.
