Maybe you could explain what a "front e brake cable" might be?

Or, we could just guess...........

sdl emergency brake cable

sorry ,e cable is the emergency brake cable actuated by the foot pedal when engaging emergency brake.front refers to the cable hooking to pedal next to brake pedal,it seperates into left and right further under car towards rear.on 86 87 sdl it is a major pita.

I haven't done that cable, but I'm not grasping the reason to remove the console? It's nowhere near the cable.

sdl emergency caable

apparently the cable runs in tunnel under console, all indy shops have told me you need to get console out to get to cable underneath-perhaps you know some other info and ive been misinformed.ive ordered chassis and brake manual to get a clearer picture.for 2 years these cables were different than previous models.

I believe the cable runs underneath the vehicle..........not below the console and above the pan.

But, I have not replaced that cable, so I can't say for certain.
