Trunk badge of , ... truth?

Ordering lots of parts today, realized the '95 can no longer wear an E 320 badge. So, I need a 0, and ??

I'm thinking E300 Turbodiesel (like the 210s) will work, the '95s normally say E300 Diesel for the NA engine.

I'm also considering E300DT, Jimmy?

This angers the Keepers of Correct Terminology!!!

This would probably also disturb Wagon Boy!!

Special dispensation can be sought for the above nomenclature. The court would look favorably on the above, based on taking a very nice year and model W124, removing the evil gasser engine and installing a very nice turbo diesel engine.
The Keepers of Correct Terminology are rigid, but we can be reasonable when a worthy case is brought before us.......

Be warned, we dole out harsh punishment, usually metric......

Where would you get the T? I don't know of any model with a loose T in the 94-up style. The T's I know of are attached to an underscore or the smaller T in TURBODIESEL.

I think you should keep the trunk lid blank, or mimic the 210 diesel badging.

Or you could do like they did the 190's, just add "3.0 Diesel" on the right hand side.

Mimic the 2.3-16 with 3.0-8. Didn't some 300CEs have on the right side 24V or 24VALVE? I think it was the midyears with the twincan M103.

I'd have to butcher a Turbo badge Dave, as you mentioned, ... the 300DT was for Jimmy's benefit anyway.

I considered 300D Turbo, I have a spare trunk with that on it, ... but since the Euro designation was always E300 and the E300 would show those of us in the know that it is a '94/'95, ... that is where I'm starting.

As far as Turbo or Turbodiesel, I don't really like the Turbo badge, it's the diesel that's important to me and they hand Turbo lettering out to Ricers wholesale.

Last, the E300 lettering has a style more like the (smaller) Turbodiesel on the 210s than the Turbo on the 124s, I like that.

De-badging entirely sounds nice also, and oh-so German, but I like the idea of piqueing the interest of anyone who knows that the E300 124 never had a turbodiesel here. Need the vented fender too.

I'd probably debadge it. Second choice would be to put the normal "E300 on the left and
"Turbo" on the right.

Very well thought out points. I still think the E300 on the left, with the TurboDiesel from a W210 on the right would be the best play, with just E300 as the second choice. I see no real 3rd choice that is acceptable.
You want it badged as a diesel, which the E300 does well enough, but it sure is a cool kick in the pants to have turbodiesel on the other side to pique the interest of those "in the know"....... "Turbo" would just be out of place on a late model W124 in my humble yet accurate opinion.
I appreciated the 300DT shot across my bow. Always good to be able to utilize the fine work that Chad has given me.

Maybe we should all get the stick-on W210 emblems and rebadge our cars as 300DT.

I like the blank idea ... I like debadging on 124s and up ... Bodhi is debadged and I love the look. Even though I like to "show off" the fact that it's a diesel, I figure if anyone cares, they'll know, or ask.

I have a random "L" floating around in the glovebox of my 240D, was in there when I bought it. Talk about sweetening the deal, right? I have no idea if it even came off an MB ... it looks newer.
