bad wire to switchover valve in ac 300SD
Hi,
I've pulled the dash in my 1984 300SD and have been checking and replacing bad pods ect to get the ac in top shape. In checking the ac switchover valves I've discovered not a bad valve, but bad wires going to the valve. Putting a mityvac on the "A" stem of the valve it holds a vacuum. When I give it current it won't drop to zero. If I take the same "bad" valve and hook a different wire up to it, it behave correctly: holds the vacuum and goes to zero when current is applied. I can't trace the wires back because they are bundled up with a lot of other stuff and I can't tell where they go. My question is where do the wires for the ac switchover valves go to? Can I just wire up two switchover valves from one set of "good" wires? Thanks, Jeff |
