fuel line replacement ?
Hello folks,
A quick question before I make a big mess. I have a slow leak from a fuel line which is located directly posterior to my rear differential. IT screws into the fuel tank superiorly and connects to a thin metal fuel line via a clamp towards the rear of the car. The line is about 8 inches long. I have already purchased it from the dealer and am excited to put it in but it really cold outside so I am going to wait Does anyone have any tricks to limit the amount of fuel which drains from the tank? Should I siphon out the fuel to empty then remove and replace? Any and all help is greatly appreciated Thanks bob |

Thanks Bill,
I got to it without that much in the way of spillage. I Clamped off the hoses to reduce the amout of fuel that spilled. One thing however, folks you may want to wear protective glasses or googles. I took a pretty nice shot of diesel in the face which was not that much fun.... Thanks everyone and good luck getting your cars ready for the winter bob |
