This really sucks... I just got up and was getting ready to go... Scrubbed for a some kind of leak.

I have never been really close to it before a launch. We can see it go up from our house, but we never can hear the thing. I was hoping to get up to Canaveral to get a good spot on the Pineda causeway. So much for that.

At least I got the A/C in the car working!

Ive been a lifelong Fl resident and have never seen a shuttle launch (other than watching from the helicopter pad at Orlando International). They are way too unpredictable, and something always goes wrong at the last minute, better to be safe though....

Alright guys. Ill be seeing ya'll shortly, the weather looks great today....

Typical American space craft.. crappy quality, over priced...

Should have bought German!

I was outside in my front yard with my camera and a telephoto lens like hunting around in the sky.. If you weren't cued into what was going on you would have thought I was trying to burn my retinas.

Yes, have a great time, everyone – perhaps I’ll make it if/when there’s a GTG in February.

Thanks everyone for coming out. It really was great, and other than the hot hot heat the weather was great. Im glad that we got some new people/cars out there, especially those who drove a bit to attend, and for those who couldn't make it, we hope to see you all at the fall GTG in a few months.

So did you take any pics from out of your sunroof while we were out on the drive?
