75-76 were W115's. What month was the manufacture?

I know this is an old thread, but it helped me today...

you do not need to remove the oil filter, it will tilt up and out. I removed nothing else, aside from the 4 nuts/bolts that hold the pump, and the bracket at the rear(this is also where a throttle return spring is mounted)
I just pulled my injection pump today with the help of this thread and this quoted post helped the most.

For anyone having to do this, I will add what I learned:

The 3 nuts holding the front of the injection pump are 13mm and can be removed with a socket and various extensions (maybe a u-joint).

The two bolts holding the injection pump bracket (which is at the rear bottom of the injection pump) to the block, are 13mm and can be accessed with a socket and some extensions. The injection pump bracket is held to the rear of the injection pump also with a 13mm bolt. This one is quite tricky to get to with anything but a long combination wrench from the top. This might not even need to be removed in order to get the injection pump out, but I removed this bolt before I removed the 2 bolts holding the bracket to the block. Those 2 bolts by the way are vertical to each other and are underneath the rear end of the injection pump.

I hope this helps someone.

I'm pulling a pump on a 1975 300d -- w115. Man that third bolt under the pump is a pain. I can't grab it with my hooked 13 mm. I got everything else out. Just one bolt in the support in back is screwed in a little to support it. Any tips on getting that one under the pump at the front.

I'm going to try to bend a 13 45 degrees like the manual says. Mine is a 90 degree bend.

Thanks

A 13mm ratcheting flat wrench saved the day for me on those ******* rear bracket bolts. And a mirror. What a job.
I removed the vacuum shut off can and the rack dampener then the rear door of the pump body. More room than needed. I will re install the pump with the door installed.
might even try with the bracket on the pump. What will happen if the bracket is not re installed, will the front three bolts not hold the pump in place? Think of my 74 240D had no suck bracket.
