Okay folks in New England or any MB enthusiast who wants to take an autumn ride to Rhode Island, Sept 12 will be the second annual ChowdaQ Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts gathering.
This will be a day of food, parts swapping, questionable stories and even prizes.
What prizes? You might ask well so far one prize has been promised to:
The person who drives the longest distance with the cheapest car. I'm in the running for that one with my $400 240D.

Might be there. Seems like better cars showed up to that one than the on I went to. Saw a lot of leaky old MB's(fuel+Oil) and some shade tree mechanic hacking.

Hmm, mine don't leak any fuel but oil... A little hacking on my 190D but it was a PO, I PROMISE!

Dwight's 240D has a Ford starter relay for the glow plugs but it was way cheaper than putting in the "correct" stuff that a PO had hacked out of the car. He'd have doubled the cost of the car to fix it "right".
