It's not the multi function switch
i just changed out the multi function [MF] switch to remedy the non- functioning intermittent wiper setting.
Intermittent still does not work with the tested working, used MF. All other functions are working the same as the original WTF? Is there something else in that circuit that could cause this? Thanks.

remove the cluster and you'll see it bolted to the firewall. Let me find a pic.....

You right!
Well it took me two tries without a pic to get the correct relay out of my 81 but I got it , put it in the 82 and it works!
Boy, I tell you, if I had known about the relay first I would have saved myself an hour of wrenching and the price of the used MF. Oh well it gives me a chance to look at the cars innards occasionally and I love learning new stuff. Thats the beauty of the forum. Thanks.
