Broken Exhaust Manifold on 240D
 

Hi,

Can anyone tell me a good place to pick up such a used part? The one on my 240 is cracked and I need a new one. Will it hurt to drive it with a cracked exhaust manifold?

you could be in luck i have a complete 240 engine sitting in my back yard (82 vintage automatic). i just got rid of my last 240 and would be willing to part with the manifold. i just need to take a peek and see if it's ok.

what's a fair price and how far are you from mass.??
i quess it cuold be shipped ups.

I am far away in Flordia. UPS ground would be fine. I just discovered this afternoon. I have inquired other places for bids but haven't received any yet. I am expecting 50-100.

They do not appear hard to fix.. parts are easy to find. In fact, I have found my upgrade parts that should make it last forever. For all those that know, GDI has them for $189 and offer a great warrenty. I am not interested in making this a business. I just want to help friends in the forum. I am going to try and sell the others for small profit to pay for tools. An old bud is going to sell me his desolder which is air driven. I am using the bulb right now. Put money back into Unger iron and tip.

for the 240D engine. Specifically a long block (complete lower end and cylinder head) email me and let's discuss. Do you know how many miles are on it? I have an '83 that needs an engine or needs the existing engine rebuilt. Email me today if possible. Can anyone on here tell me if a '82 engine will fit to a '83 tranny?
