Expansion valve?
 
Is there an expansion valve that will fit a 87 300dt that would be more efficient in a R134a system? I know R12 would be preferable but am just getting parts together for a makeover and will be using R134a. Any suggestions? Thanks.:D

I used one for R134 and it may need charging again but it seems like it doesn't keep up real well with hot weather.

If you buy one today, it will most likely be marked 134, but I've never been able to tell any difference in them. The loss of performance when converting to 134 has very little if anything to do with the TXV. 134 is just not the same refrigerant as 12.
