Options include P02 and Designo Group. It is metallic graphite with the two tone NAPPA leather interior.
So I am going to sell my 1987 300 D sedan Turbo and the 1998 E300 TD. I'll get an ad in the for sale section with pictures soon.

What did you have to give for it, Larry? I'm a stickler for comparing prices, is why I ask.

Sounds like it was loaded with a few goodies/options.

Here are a few facts

I paid a lot less than what they wanted.
Nice NAPPA (AMG) leather.
I will not be able to pick it up until we go thru on vacation to Oregon on the 25 of July. Then the wife will drive it for the first 200 miles to Oregon and back to San Diego.

With no dipstick there is no concern. many manual transmissions dont have dip sticks and you must fill them up with a fill hole. Go to your local auto chain and get a pump for gear lube and the principal is the same. Suck up the fluid, then put the hose into the fill hole and then pump the fluid in, refill reservoir on pump and continue until fluid comes out fill hole. its a very easy procedure and you dont need any kind of special tools. The pump costs less than 10 dollars.

just because its new doesnt mean its better. Not a diy friendly car. A car more for the dealer than anything else
one the only reasons i didnt get a CDI was the whole emissions fluid deal i dont like taking my car to stealership in knoxville they're rude and treat ppl like crap. So when i went to source they're magic urea i couldnt find any other than there and possibility of spending between 20-50$ a gallon to fill the thing up and getting stranded on side of road for lack of this magic elixar i passed.

Well, then, what were they asking for it??

I want to compare what you paid, for a used/30K miles one, versus what I can buy a brand spanking new loaded 2008 Bluetech for, which is $42K asking, from a dealer near me. I can probably do better - because that was 2 months ago. He had several of them.

I'm sure they're very nice, but amazingly nondescript.
At least they look better from the back than the W210......

$39,900 with 100,000 mile CPO or until 2012.
They wanted another $1945 to add 2 more years and keep the mileage @ 100,000.
Did you see the options list?

The 2005-2007 cars didn't use urea, so no worries on any of them. I don't know about the 2008-09 sedans but I know the pre-08 sedans didn't have it.

08-09 E320's didnt use urea/adblue either. The first E class to receive it will be the 2010 W212 E's. They will supposedly have run flat tires and no spare as that is where the urea tank will reside.

No thanks. As much tire trouble as I've found over the last couple years, I've got no desire to own a car without a spare. Even if it is supposedly possible to not need one, I don't feel comfortable.

Terry,

Do you know if that 2010 be similiar to the current 6 cyl? or the new four cylinder engine premiered at the NYC Car Show ?

My local dealer did not think any would be imported, but that conflicts with the NYC rollout.

Congrats on the purchase. DIY-ease aside, I think the E-class Bluetec is the best MB diesel ever made and I want one too after having driven one. Enjoy!

BustedBenz,

Not so funny you say that, as I have a road debris blow out on the way to work 3 fridays ago, changed and still made the 7:00AM mtg.
Tooling away that afternoon going home on my no so healthy spare when I hear that now familiar blowout song once again.
I carry tools, oil, antifreeze, hoses, clamps, but alas only one spare.
Called my daughter to bring the second spare sitting in garage. What a kid shows up with spare, and couple of coldies...
Very uncommon occurance, BTW, 2 michelins were purchased the next day.
DieselAddict, I agree, I will be looking at purchasing a BluTec when my funds allow, like 5 yrs, I think that engineering standard will carry far into the future.
