Pimp My Ride

I'm channel surfing, and all of a sudden, there's an MB Diesel getting ready to be pimped out. It's on right now. Speed Channel.

I remember the SD well. The take off the hood star and put on a bedazzled one with her first initial.

Kind of funny that she got it at a police auction and the seats were all ripped up like they were looking for drugs.

This and the giant diesel engine are probably the two most reposted things on this forum.

Sorry about that. I've been away from the forum for a while.

I did do both a vBulletin and Google search of the forum for "Pimp my ride" and found nothing that popped out. I just wanted to let everyone know in case it was new, but I admit, I acted too quickly. Again, I apologize, and encourage the mods to delete this thread if it's redundant.

There was a euro 500SEL at our junk yard last year that had been drug searched, they destroyed/cut open pretty much every inch of the interior....it was a mess....hardly anything salvageable at all from the interior. Not a huge loss since it was covered in dents and rust and appeared to be leaking many fluids from its 200k+ motor/trans...if it even still ran....

I was horrified when they did that to the poor SD on that show. However, Mythbusters remains at the top of my list, they destroyed a beautful 300SD to try and make a "diesel powered subwoofer" The car was in REAL nice shape, mint interior, rust free (california car).....engine sounded real nice. Terrible shame. Their experiment didn't even work, so they essentially just took and obliterated a good 300SD.
