I have a 300TD 82 Benz and recently my ignition tumbler started locking up so I was able to take it out. I tried strting the car because it sat for a week and wanted to charge the battery.... OK so I wanted to go to starbucks.

It started OK. but my screw driver head locked onto the inner peice and it came out. Now I am wondering how to get it back in?

I'm attaching a photo of the peice. It sort of looks like I am going to have to take the whole ignition assembly off and do it that way. Does anyone have a link to any information for this.

You might be able to find some pics that are for when the key gets stuck in the Lock. As, you have to go back in that area where your part came from to unlock the Steering Wheel.
