602.962 Stop Lever Shaft O-ring
I've searched around for an answer but I must not be using the correct terminology.
The o-ring on my stop lever shaft is weeping fuel. Not a lot, but it is always damp. I think I read that the o-ring is the same as the two that are used on the oil filter cover shaft. Is this correct? If someone would point me to a thread that describes the procedure for replacing this I would appreciate it. Thanks!

So I figured out the shaft should only be leaking motor oil since there is not fuel in the area where the shaft enters the IP. I should have known that right off since I replaced the shut off vacuum actuator a few weeks ago.
Still, how do you change the o-ring?

hopefully, by now you've come to the realization that there isn't much info here regarding the 602. You should be doing searches for the 603 and 606.
There was recently a thread that dealt with such a leak, keep searching. Also, search for '300sdl ressurection' by mplafleur - there may be info in there as well. |

Thanks, I found the thread. I'll be back later if I find anything.
