Injectors, old Vs. new.
I have 4 injectors for a 69 220d and 4 for a 74 240d. I'm gonna need 4 good ones when I finally get the old 240 running again, but I'd really like to use the old style 220 injectors because they have the metal leakoff lines instead of the cigar hose that the newer ones use. Can I just swap them out, or are they adjusted for the smaller engine? I thought about having them adjusted for a 240, but I need to know what the opening pressure for a 240 injector is, and then I guess I would have to have them tested at a diesel shop.
Any suggestions? Thanks for any help and also to those who replied to my last post |
