SDL out of ICU
4 Attachment(s)
My 86 SDL is done aside from a few minor fixes.
Transmission replaced Turbo replaced Window motors Radiator flushed and repaired Vacuum pump replaced Water pump replaced Brake calipers replaced Many of these jobs I hadn't done before and without this forum I'm sure that it never would of happened. Thanks to the knowledgeable folks who have archived "how to", I was able to overcome any problem that arose. Thanks again. Dan |

Congratulations.... |
Very nice looking car! (a nice final touch would be to make that exhaust look proper! :D ) Congrats on getting it running!

I love the color.
Looks just like my '86! |
It runs pretty well now. I will be getting the A/C going shortly (hopefully) barring any tragic problems. I think that most of those bugs have been straightened out ( the tach and the psi switch) I'll be getting some gauges tomorrow and will be able to get a better feel for what I'm up against with that. The clutch does engage if you jump the stay cons on the psi switch.
After that it will be the moon roof... the motor does work, and the roof wants to move, but is hung up some where after the front part of the roof starts down to move across. I have a feeling that will be a pain in the butt. Lastly the cruise control stalk is loose and probably not functioning, hope that goes well too. But in the mean time I will register this on Monday and have fun with it... |
Beautiful--looks like the "big brother" of my '85 300D.
Euro headlights would look nice. Lose that yellow plastic. |
