Coolant Expansion Bottle
I think it's time to replace the original expansion tank in my '82 300D. Anyone have any experience with the various aftermarket tanks that are available? APA/Uro, Meyle, etc. I don't mind buying an OE tank if necessary. But if it's just a reboxed item off the same assembly line as the aftermarket version, I would just as soon save a few dollars.

I have a Febi one....it was made in Italy and has been good so far (about 2.5 years).....Uro is Chinese junk....stay away from them. Meyle is risky, some of their stuff is Chinese too (as is febi now).....OEM might be a better option at this point.

I had someone order a non OE coolant expansion bottle for me. When it arrived, it was clearly an OEM bottle that had some of the MB logos grinded off for rebranding purposes.

It replaced mine and I got mine from Phil. It was like $30-$40 and looks OEM and I like it allot as now you don't have to bounce the bumper to check the level.

Tango,
The one Phil sent me has a WS on it. Stamped with Danger in German and a few other languages. It came with the bottle plug and O ring for the bottom-side. I replaced the cap too. Level hasn't changed in 2-3 months cept for going up and down half an inch when going from hot to cold.
