anyone thoughts on this hitch for a 300TD wagon

hitch link

ad states

"1977-1982 Mercedes 300TD & TE Wagon (300TD Only) Class I Trailer Hitch"

not sure why it would not fit an 85 wagon...

I know it's a class 1 but I just need something to pull a smallish 4x8 trailer

I like the price and the free shipping! Anyone know of a class 2 or above for a similar price?

Well I spoke with the fairly incompetent sales individual this morning at
Southwestwheel.com. I sent an email last night asking for a pic of the receiver hitch being sold. He suggested the follwoing....
"You will find a picture of this hitch on illustration one.
httpp://www.valley.us.com/ISHEETS/58700.pdf
Thank you,
"name deleted"
Southwest Wheel Company"

item description as seen on web page....VA58700
Custom Fit Class I Receiver Hitch. Includes ball mount, pin & clip and receiver cover. Finish is corrosion resistant powdercoat polyester black paint. 1-1/4" receiver tube.

Well, illustration one in the pdf shows a fixed tongue non receiver style hitch. I pointed that out to him and he said well thats the receiver style hitch we sell for it. You'll never find a "true" receiver style hitch for this vehicle as it will rip the frame from under the car. I pointed out that what was advertised is a receiver hitch and this was not a receiver hitch. "Sir you don't have to buy from us if you don't want to...." He became cocky and curt and basically hung up.

Nice customer service!! Bait and switch tactics? "O hole"

That's deceitful. It clearly states in the ad that it's a receiver hitch.
When you go to Valley Industries web site and do a hitch lookup, it does not list MB in the possible choices. So, apparently, they don't make hitches for Mercedes. I've run across a similar situation with that hitch for a TD at another company.
JC Whitney used to sell a Dalan receiver for the TD but they recently switched to Valley hitches and no longer show MB in their look up.
Dalan has the hitch but it's pricey.
