Another Cummins Question.....About a light

Hey Guy's,
This is the second time I have had a question concerning my 1995 Cummins. I have been hooked on this forum for the past 3 years and I cannot seem to find a Cummins forum that is geared toward repairs. They only focus on making their trucks bigger, faster, and louder.

OK, so here is my situation.
I scraped the front fender last week in the Cummins and it took off the front L turn signal. After the incident my L Rear blinker blinks and does not shut off unless I manually do it. I went to AutoZone to get a new bulb b/c the old one busted and I nothing changed (the little green L arrow comes on and it will not cut off).

Ok so fastforward to today. I went to Pull A Part and got a light fixture housing thing and wired it up and it seemed to work fine. It blinked a little slower than the Right side but it blinked. Then night came and I turned on my headlights and now the Left blinker turns on and it will not turn off and all. As long as the lights are on the L blinker is on as well.

What in the world is going on here Guy's???
I will take any suggestions at all here,
Zack Smith

Check your bulb installation. The parking light is bleeding through to the blinker circuit. It sounds like you either have the wrong bulb installed, or its in backwards.

Have you tried this one? http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/
I understand what you mean about more power and louder, but they have a non-powertrain subforum for your truck. If you've tried it and haven't had any luck, never mind. Its been a helpful forum for me.

Check the wiring harness, something could have chafed or shorted when the light got crunched, sounds like it could be a ground issue.
Make sure the correct filament is lighting up when the signal is activated.

OK Guys,
Thanks so much for the help w/ this one.
It looks like I have some good things to go out and check when it stops raining today.

I do not know much about these types of things but I do know now that it is extremely dangerous top drive w/ no blinker.

Thanks

When you say bad ground does that mean the green wire going to the bulb might not be connected right?? Or is there another ground that might be messed up?
