"Diesel-No Longer A Dirty Word"-Very poignant diesel commercial by Audi

I think it really gets the point across. My wife, who is sort of apathetic when it comes to vehicles, was impressed. There might be some hope here yet!

New diesel cars are no longer "dirty" but our 25+ year old cars are definitely "dirty" Turbo smoke screens, smoking when cold, cliquing and clacking.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.

I've never seen smoke from mine. I noticed the second one said "one company didn't give up on diesel" They must've been referring to MB

No they were referring to their parrent company I'd think. VW has been the only maker selling diesels in the US continuously since 1996 (and since 1976? in Canada?)

I've seen new TDIs that smoke more than my old Benzes

So what if you put out a little smoke. It is STILL cleaner than a g@sser with respect to noxious chemicals... Plus by getting better mileage you are producing less emissions to start with. Throw in B100 and you are now carbon neutral as well
Take that Prius

Sorry to get off the topic a bit, but is Audi somehow related to Dailmler Benz - someone was telling me that Audi is now a division of Dailmler... Fact or fiction?
