Not exact. Just use the 46mm.
I'd be willing to be that .0015" won't make a difference. It is approximately the size of a human hair.

Here is a metric to other measures conversion site.
46mm= 1.81102 an SAE 1-13/16 inch socket= 1.8125

Any idea what it could be ?

Grind or file off the crimped collar that holds what is left of the hose on and expose the barb; after that you can use your choice of fuel hose and a clamp.

When you put the Biobar or other fungicide into your tank...
be sure to have already installed new filters up front..
AND have spares ready because it may loosen stuff in the lines and that flow clog those filters...

I am new to MB's and wanted to check my tank screen in my 83 with no records and 220,000 unknown miles. I made two 46mm sockets. One short and one open back for those that might have issues as in this thread. Mine came out easy and the fuel that ran down my arm was spotless and the screen was spotless. I will get the sockets on the tool rental board if there is a need. They are laser cut 46.2 mm. I would have made them lighter if I had known exactly how the screen was made. They both work. Thanks

Great!! Glad to know we have a tool maker on the forum. Probably needs to be in everyone's "friends" list.
