I'll be on the lookout...

My new dash arrives today.... I can't recall if it has a good tube in it.

Well, there's been a couple of interesting discoveries and I wonder if they play a role in my issues.

The ac compressor belt is very loose. I think it may even be the wrong belt. In addition, my tension bolt is broken off. But this doesn't matter because the belt is so big, I can extend the compressor as far as the hardware allows by hand. So I think there may be a slippage issue here.

The new dash is in. I installed a new tube while I was at it. I used pipe wrap/insulation from the hardware store. Not the stuff that looks like a pool noodle, but the one that's more rubbery.

Thankfully only 1 vacuum pod under there had an issue, and it was only the fresh air flap, so no big deal. Just capped it off for now. I did take the liberty of bypassing the center vent and rigging the center flap open as well.

Time to get a new belt and tensioner... I'll update after I do these things.
