Newb Here!

Hi, I'm new to the Benz world, but not new to wrenching or online forums.

I just picked up a 87 300SDL with only 90K miles on it!

Its got some of the usual problems it seems, like a window issue, ac not working, tach not working, drivers seat not working, but electrical stuff is usually kinda fun for me. (I like cheap simple fixes, gives me something to do on a saturday afternoon)

Anyway, glad to join the forum, been surfing around for the last week and there's a lot of great info and tech stuff here without all the ego it seems thus far.

Anyone have a pdf owners manual they wouldn't mind sharing?

Unusual to find one with fewer than 100,000 miles. You sure? Quite a find, congrats and welcome!

Its stashed for now up in Portland until I move in three weeks, but after that I'll post up pics. (I know, threads without pics blah blah blah)

I was sceptical of the 90k myself, but the steering wheel feels new, the brake and dead pedal are not worn, the seats are nice and firm, and well, it only looks and drives like it has 90k on it and the ODO works! The previous owner owned it for 14 years and garaged it at his vacation home, and when fuses started poping decided to liquidate!

Its killing me right now not being able to play with it!

I suspect there are lots of folks here with owner's manuals, but not many with one in the pdf. form.

Have you tried EBay or Craigslist?

This place sells the CD manual set for curently $47 + whatever the shipping is. The 123 CD manual set has a owneres manual on the CD so I would guess this one does to.
If some one could give you the Mercedes Part number for this same CD set you might be able to get it for 1/2 as much direct from mercedes.
