Drilled out the old line...reinstalled...same problem.
The plastic on the brake line somehow is loose around one joint, and bent juuust enough to allow the vacuum leak. The material itself seems strong enough not to be sealed by the vacuum. Went on 400 miles worth of trip this weekend and the fixed line worked perfectly, as well as all the other stuff I have done to the car recently  Thanks again everyone. dd
