How are the seats removed? W124
The pictures look great, but I didn't see how to remove them.
I like the idea of removing the seat from the rails, but didn't see how to do it. So I removed the bolts from the chassis. The bolts came off easy - the ones in the back center on the drive train area - needed to remove the black plastic cover - just popped off. But with all bolts removed - I saw that the wire were not easily removed. The power cord - major bundle of wires taped together came from the floor to the base of the seat. How do I disconnect the power cable? I have a picture attached - showing where it attaches to the seat. The other end goes under the carpet.

OK - got the seat out
Just as Jeff said - left the plugs out.
Worked like a champ - and I saw what I did wrong. Before disconnecting any wire, raise the front of the seat up (with the door switch). Then there is plenty of room to remove the plugs. All plugs will disconnect easily. I had the seats down, so the plugs were difficult to see - but I wiggled them out. I will need to raise the sat before I put the seats back in. Jeff - thanks so much for your help. The driver seat is in the basement - will start the refinish project tomorrow.

To move electric seats, window regulators, blower motors etc.... I have a 12 or 14 volt DeWalt battery I use. It has flat connetors, I cut the test leads off a $3.00 harbor freight multi test meter, and soldered on flat spade connectors. works great and not all that big.
PNP allows battery operated tools. Yeah, the camera thing I don`t understand either. was only challenged one time going out the gate. there aren`t any signs saying you can`t have them. I think next week, Nov 8th, seats will be 20% off. HMMM.... will W124 seats fit in a W123? Charlie
