Do our Cylinder Heads Need Re-Torqueing Periodically?

It occurred to me that I have owned my '82 300SD for five years and have never retorqued the 617 cylinder head in spite of adjusting valves - do our heads need retorqueing?

These are "Stretch to Yield" type head bolts. Do NOT retorque them!
