Boost Settings

So I have my boost gauge going and I have been watching it for some time now. It's max is a solid nine pounds. As I understand they are supposed to be set at twelve. Is this going to provide any real benefits? Will it put more stress on the motor as it has over 300K? I remember seeing somewhere that there was a little spring boost controller you could get to compensate. Has anyone had any luck or issues with them? Thanks.

Wolf,

Nine pounds (PSI) isn't bad and if the car is running well, I wouldn't change it. Keep in mind, boost is checked at 4000 rpm in second speed range using the brakes to maintain vehicle speed...Robert

I adjusted mine so it runs 11 max and I'm happy with that. It's not that hard to adjust.
