ac 84 300d question
 

Did the 1984 300d have the same r4 a/c compressor as most other diesels?
Im interested in learning how to clean the evap fins?
Any help?

Try simple green, greeze off or spray nine. Low pressure water streams from the back side work wonders. These products have all been used on my ATV after time in the mud as the radiator fins tend to get clogged buy mud and trail debries. I'd even go so far as to use a foaming bathroom or kitchen cleaner like scrubbing bubbles. Good luck. With some work you'll get it cleaned out.

Evap...or condensor...The condensor is on the front-side and gets covered with mud and debries of insects. I heard that solving a tablet or powder from the dishwasher in warm water also performs miracles on it. It tends to soak and remove organic debries such as flies quitte good.
