I suppose, but remember it's (crank sensor pick up, #50) is mechanical, so you should be able to tell if that's the culprit, as in too far away. The most common problem is the amp, yes it's expensive, but if you replace a working part, you're out that much more. Someone on the forum makes a solid state unit, I don't know what he charges.
