Running Red Line 85+ and Startron helps in the long term use...
(Generally the "Diesel Purge" experience only last as long as the Purge is flowing through the engine)

Startron is just naphtha.

What is Redline 85+?

:confused: Diesel Purge is designed to be run straight i.e. not mixed with diesel fuel. It is a full strength fuel system cleaner. Not a fuel additive. It does a very nice job, as the fuel coming back from the return line is usually black with all the crap it cleans out.

Not sure what you meant by the "experience only last as long as the Purge is flowing"...

It is good preventative maintenance. I run two cans of diesel purge through every 30k miles.

Did you purge the 2.5?
If so can you post a picture of how you did or would do it?
I want to purge my 603 engine but im a little lost with which is which hose to do what.

Purging my ip and injectors was really great, half a can into it i could hear everything smoothing out, lots quieter. im wandering if i should change fuel filters at this time as well.
How much of this 85+ goes into one tank? i am already running diesel hi-test and startron.

DieselGiant has a link on their site, google the injector cleaning with that in, and it'll take you to the link.

At first, it all seems scary, but it's a breeze once you see what needs to be done.

One tip... take off your fuel tank cap first to relieve the pressure so when you take off your pre-fuel filter, fuel doesn't go squirting all over the place.

I recommend using 2 plastic bags, the kind you get from Walmart or the supermarket, under the fuel pre-filter, etc. you disassemble, to catch any fuel spilling out so you don't get the fuel all over your engine parts.

I'd have to agree with Compress ignite in my own experience. However, if you truly have clogged injectors rather than old ones the diesel purge will probably work well. For me, it runs great when you're running the stuff through the system, but once the cetane high wears off the engine goes back to its good ol' clacking.
