Alignment question, 1984 300D.
Reading the other alignment thread got me thinking about my own alignment issues. I've had this car for a while and have never gotten it to align just right. Last time I took it in they told me they couldn't do anything more to it and I had to go see a frame shop which is nonsense; I gave up and just drive it with it veering to the right, rotating the tires often to try to even out the excess wear.
I admittedly don't know much about alignment but here is the printout they gave me, can anybody tell me if they aligned it correctly? Thanks. Last edited by alfa 75; 09-01-2009 at 10:56 AM. |

Take it to a different shop other than Firestone. They messed up my Chevy truck, when I had it. I will never let Firestone touch anything I own.

I attempted to do my own alinement; buying the Turntables and a Caster/Camber Gauge.
(Upper Control Arms new, and new Lower Control Arm Bushings.) Adjusting the Caster has and effect on the Camber and the reverse; adjusting the Chamber has an effect on the Caster. The point is that I ran out of adjustment range to the point that if Caster was correct Camber was off. The eccentric Bolt on the LCA does not have very much range to change much; you end up doing the bulk of the adjustment with the Guide rods. I reached a point where no more adjustment was available to get it correctly. This might have been whey they were speaking about a Frame shop. I could not find any magic spot that allowed me to get the correct measurements.
