Will 190E/D seats manual/Electric swap?

A friend of mine has a 190E. His drivers seat has broken springs, and the seat cover is needing replacement.

We hit 4 PNP today checking the inventory for the 50% off sale this weekend.

Not a lot of 190`s, but enough of a cross section of years. some manual and some electric.

His 85 190 has electric seat controls, and is afraid if he buys a manual seat that it won`t fit his electric rails. even after I told him the seats are the same, just swap the new seat over to the electric frame.

I also mentioned to use the Pass seat for the drivers side, as it doesn`t get the use the drivers does and would have firm springs.

The more nervous he got about making a decision, the more doubtful I was getting in what I think I know .

Iam sure mercedes doesn`t make the seat different depending if the controls are manual vs electric.
