Cheap Wagon story /1983 300td

I Drove out to the country for this one ,50 min drive with 50 different exits but made it to find this farmers cheap wagon .The owner drove it out of the barn were it resided for the past yr. Across his pasture up to the house were I meet the man .Since rust was mentioned in the ad I was interested in how for along it had spread, mostly a fender from a battery mishap, not as bad as described when inquiring. The Condition was simply dirty outside ,clean inside. Rasberry cloth interior and an exterior well worn faded blue paint that shows its well weathered Texas patina. The odometer works with 216 k and counting so shes got plenty of life still left in her.Old barn finds are fun to witness ,ones that drive out and can make it home,Priceless.Well $450 .worth of priceless.

Balderdash... The original CW had before and after photos. It came from a barn as well.

It's not the car photos we want, it's that elusive barn.

Wow, that red interior must have been a custom job. Odd combo for someone to pay that much $$$ to create.

Yes, thats a strange interior color, but it might be henna velour, which I've never seen before in person. A VIN # would clear up whether it is factory or not. Here's a pic of a henna velour interior:

To find a working wagon at that price is a great thing these days, unless its rotting out from under you. Sounds like a great find, congratulations-

you can tell from the pillar trim that it was originally Palomino. Perhaps the interior was swapped in?

The color combo is a bit to take in ,the interior carpet is the same color so I think its safe to say all original interior is their. So clean to , not a rip or tear on a seam .Smells nice to, not what you would expect walking up to a dusty old car .The car will get fresh paint then pretty up the interior for resale .It will be available next month if anyones looking for a rather low mileage 300td,216 k and counting .A complete go through on all service.Ill keep posting some pics as a documentary of sorts on its recovery.Ill be making my list of service on it today then its roll up the sleeves and get at it.
