rear window heat

The electrical connection for my rear window heat has become dis-attached from the window. Can i solder this back on?

Mine had detached flat copper strips (wires?).
I was able to solder them back on and they tested OK whey I used the Ohm Meter to see if the Conducted. (Also I had the Window out of the Car when I did it as I was repairing rust under the rubber weather stripping.)

However, I found out that my tiny conducting lines were so corroded all over that they would not conduct.
Each little dark blotch on the copper conducting line represents a corroded area that will not conduct.
