Any Diesel-Centric Forum Members in the Seattle WA Area?

I'll be moving from Reno, NV to Redmond, WA at the end of the month. Looking to make contacts with some forum members in the area to trade parts or knowledge with.

I'll be leaving my beloved garage (pictured here) which is small, but worked great, for a one car garage at the first level of a 4 story town home. Don't really know what I'll do .

PM me if you want - I live just North of Seattle and am always happy to meet new fans of older Mercedes. I have a garage with a lot of lighting and a nice (albeit diesel oil-tainted) solvent tank you can use to clean parts with if you'd like. There are a number of other diesel Benzheads in this area; I've met a few and I'm thinking it might be fun to track them down again for a get-together. Enjoy your trip up here....the weather is still warm & sunny!

Looking forward to it, Katja. I'll PM you when I finally get settled in the area.

I'm also interested in hearing about that slick looking paint job on your diesel.

Welcome to the NW!

A GTG is a good idea Katja - Fall color drive perhaps? Oh yeah, I need a replacement car first.
Check in when you're settled and we'll get you set up with a good parts house (MBMW-Abe), wrecking yard etc.

Nice! I've been known to frequent the wrecking yards .

I also hope to be able to contribute with MBZ specific tool swaps, etc.

Check in with me as well when you get here

But don't count too much on the local junkyard-Aurora Auto Salvage. High prices and you cannot just go out in the yard unaccompanied.

Sorry if I'm a little late to the party. I've been lurking for months, but I don't lurk daily. (That would be creepy, right?)

If you ever need a little wrenching space, I can sometimes be convinced to share my shop from time to time. I live near Snohomish, so you won't be too far away.

If you're looking to frequent a few wrecking yards, we have two self-service yards up here that seem to have a Merc or two trickle through pretty regularly.

I'm in Kent, but unfortunately don't have any garage space to share. I have a two car garage, but one side is occupied by an old 911, and the other side is full of... well... STUFF.

Got a fair set of tools though and a BIG driveway...
