1981 300D question...
Did this model/year have a Turbo or not yet?! There is one that sat for 10 yrs - would it really need the fuel system flushed out or just fuel filters changed and air filter?! Are stuck rings a possibility in this situation?!

Its non-turbo. I think some Merc Officionados will suggest taking the fuel tank out and cleaning it along with the tank filter, lines, tank sensor, changing both fuel filters, glow plugs, injector nozzles, valve adjustment, coolant flush, change engine oil, change tranny fluid, change power steering fluid, brake fluid and bleed, tranny filter, power steering filter, oil filter, air filter, recharge the aircon. If I'm missing something, someone please add.
I think $1,800 is too much. Plus you'd need to get a paint job. The usual magic number is $500. Not happy with $500, $650 max. Hopefully some officionados will reply to your thread. |
