Guide Rod Mount

Since I posted last, (1 1/2 yr ago) the Left guide Rod Mount is complaining.
sometimes when braking a slight clink, and when going in a dip or up a driveway when turning, it groans and clunks. doesn`t seem to do it when going up a driveway apron straight on.

So if this side is bad. the other isn`t too far off. time to start ordering parts a little at a time and redo the whole front end. 360k on the originals.

We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works

I have the same creak on an 84 300d

I have found mine to be caused by the lower shock mount. The sway bar bushings will also creak sometimes, and that you can really feel in your feet because of the proximity to the cabin. Dry each joint in the front suspension one at a time until you pinpoint the problem and let us know!

Leathermang! You may have just saved my sanity. The squeak that occurred over EVERY SINGLE PEBBLE that I ran over with the driver-side rear wheel is GONE! I sprayed all bushings on that corner with Ruglyde and all is well! No more REERUH REERUH REERUH! Thanks...and all the dogs in a ten-mile radius thank you, too!

Cheers!
